Neutral vs Hypnotic vs Awakenotic

A comparison page for terms used in the Awakenology framework

This page compares a term's baseline meaning with its hypnotic distortion and the corresponding awakenotic operation. “Neutral” is used here as a comparison label for the basic or unmodified form; it is not assumed to mean that every source term has already been formally classified as neutral.

Reading rule: The source model describes basic consciousness as aₙ, hypnotically distorted consciousness as A⁺ₙ (magnification) or A⁻ₙ (minimization), and awakenotic processing as returning from the distortion to the corresponding basic consciousness. The exact mapping of “neutral” to every symbol should be confirmed against the author's definitions.

Core comparison

Neutral / BasicHypnoticAwakenotic
Basic consciousness (aₙ) before the relevant distortion.Distorted consciousness (A⁺ₙ or A⁻ₙ) created by magnifying or minimizing a basic consciousness.Identify the distortion and reverse it toward the corresponding basic consciousness (A⁺ₙ → aₙ or A⁻ₙ → aₙ).
Baseline wording without the added exaggeration or restriction.Magnification: adds emphasis or scope, such as “all” or “entire.”Undo the added magnification; do not replace it with an opposite claim.
Baseline wording without a narrowing restriction.Minimization: adds limits such as “only,” “impossible,” or “cannot.”Remove the restriction and restore the original range of possibilities without forcing a new conclusion.
State or layer before the current distortion.May add layers: single → double → triple → … → n layers.Reverse the layering in order: n → … → 3 → 2 → 1 → 0; do not skip layers or predetermine the final open state.

Examples from the course material

Neutral / BasicHypnotic distortionAwakenotic operation
“我就是这个身体。”
“I am this body.”
“我的身体就是我的全部存在。”
“My body is my entire existence.”
Magnification by adding “全部 / entire.”
Remove the added “全部 / entire” and return to the earlier wording. Do not substitute “I am not this body.”
“意识可以独立于身体存在。”
“Consciousness can exist independently of the body.”
“意识只能存在于这个身体之中。”
“Consciousness can exist only within this body.”
Minimization by adding “只能 / only.”
Remove the “只能 / only” restriction. Do not force the opposite claim that consciousness must exist independently of the body.
